About Me

Like many children, when I was younger I wanted to be a doctor. I liked the thought of helping people and making a big difference to their life but I was also intrigued by the reasons why they were ill. My fascination with allergies started when I was 6 years old after my mother began sneezing and coughing violently. I asked her what was wrong and she told me that she had a pollen allergy. At that time I didn’t know what that meant but I knew it was something that I would remember and find out more about.

Over the years I have taken a keen interest in allergies and during my studies at university we were asked to research rare conditions and discuss them. Although there are many rare conditions that are life threatening, my affinity with allergies led me to choose chlorine allergy.

I found a lot of interesting information so I created this site to share my research and findings. Hopefully I will provide some answers to common questions and ways to prevent and manage this condition.
